CLINIC

Spring 2025

Our Clinic program provides an opportunity for young players to experience lacrosse and learn the basic skills of the game in a fun yet structured environment. Clinic is intended for new players and/or players who are not quite old enough or ready for competitive play. Players will participate in drills and other age-appropriate skill development activities and then play in in-house scrimmages against other clinic players for the final portion of each session.

Interested families should fill out this form. We are also looking for 1-3 additional volunteer coaches, including:

  • 1 enthusiastic coaches with significant lacrosse experience, and

  • 1-2 high energy and enthusiastic crowd controllers with some previous coaching experience (any sport).

  • All players should have a complete set of lacrosse pads and a full-size stick. Please check out our Equipment page for a specific list of required items.

  • OK - let’s take a breath! There are many great programs in the Baltimore area that introduce young athletes to the wonderful game of lacrosse. Players will not stick with the game, however, unless they are having fun and building confidence playing the sport.

Our objective for the MLC Clinic program is to provide just that sort of experience. More specifically, the program provides five and six year olds an engaging introduction to the game where they learn basic lacrosse skills and teamwork. Most of our clinic participants continue on to play on our travel teams in subsequent years, but ultimately the Clinic program is intended simply to provide young athletes with their first taste for lacrosse!

  • In a word: NO! There is no experience necessary, and most participants are first-time lacrosse players.
