Family Expectations
We request that families commit to their player’s attendance at a substantial majority of practices and games during the spring season. We recognize that competing family, personal, and work obligations may necessitate occasional absences. Regular attendance, however, will ensure that your child develops the necessary skills over the course of the season and allows team chemistry to develop. While we may offer out-of-season activities and skill sessions in the summer, fall, or winter, those activities are purely optional (and we hope your child will prioritize their in-season sports during those times).
During lacrosse activities, we respectfully request--and expect--that MLC parents, guardians, and fans will behave accordingly:
Enthusiastically support and encourage MLC players.
Refrain from engaging or speaking to referees, coaches, and opposing players during and after all games and scrimmages (except to offer sincere thanks and congratulations).
Remain on the opposite sideline from the team benches during games and scrimmages (per MYLA rule).
Please feel free to communicate any important information to your child's coach prior to practice or games, but please also be considerate of the coaches' need to set up the field, oversee warm-ups, and coordinate with other coaches before practice begins.
Thank you in advance for helping to model the kindness and sportsmanship we hope to foster in all MLC players!
